. . Tepanyaki Chicken . .

Work sucks. Burnout. That's what I typed on my MSN message. Been busy these past few days and will be very busy the next few days. Think, will be busy the next few weeks. I can see that a lot of my colleagues are feeling the pressure of having to face too many projects at one time. Same for me. Not only the new projects keep coming, the amendments for the recent ones kept coming back fast. Haven't really finish the one at hand, new ones pile up. I'm not complaining about too many projects. It's good to have on-going projects. But these projects keep having the same tight deadlines. Some are deadlined on the same day. There's too many to handle with on the limited manpower that we have.

Haiz. Enough of work. Frecky came back to work today after her week-long holiday. She actually came back to Singapore on Sunday night but went to LaSalle *or is it NAFA?* on Monday. So she's back here in the office on Tuesday. Bought us all a cute Mickey stirrer each from her trip to Disneyland *cool*.

After work I went out to dinner with a friend. We went to RamenTen at Far East Plaza. The food there is quite good. I ordered Tepanyaki Chicken with dry Ramen and she ordered Mushroom Ramen. Both dishes are not bad and highly recommended. I order a side dish of deep fried squid. POWER SOTONG! Very nice. I literally cleaned up my plate and the plate of sotong. 'Cept for the vegetables, of course. I'll get rashes if I eat vegetables. *HAHA*.

Got back after sending my friend home. Was thinking of stuffs to fill up my new PDA phone with when I realised that I have a free Singapore Map software that came with the map directory that I bought 2 months back. Was very excited when I successfully installed the software. But one of the cons is that the resolution of the map are not that good. Zooming in and out will blur the wordings and distort it respectively. Not much help if you need fast reference. But still good to have if there are no other options.

Going to find some other free softwares to install on my PDA phone. Especially games.

So exciting! ☻

. . Spottiswoode . .

I missed out blogging yesterday. Was busy fiddling around with my new handphone last night. Installing new programmes and getting to know how to use the phone. Not that I don't know how to use the phone. Just wanted to know more in-depth about the functions of the phone.

Went to work on Sunday. The usual. Clocked in 6 hours from 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm. After 6.00 pm, I headed down to Challenger Funan, to get the screen protector and also a 2 GB microSD. The one that came with the phone is only 1 GB. Yeah, I know it doesn't makes much difference but having that extra storage means I can install more programmes and also keep in more photos and videos. More fun! Got home straight after that and meddled with the phone.

Today was an alright day. Not so rush because I managed to rush the urgent ones by Sunday. Today just did a lot of amendments. After lunch I was told to come along to check out the possible office space that we might move in to.

It wasn't far from our office but it's just out of the CBD area. *Our offices are just around the edge of CBD* Took around 10 mins walk to Spottiswoode Park. Its quite a residential area but it's all shophouses. I seldom see people live in shophouses.

The place that we went to is just astonishing. Its so posh and luxurious. The 3 storey shophouse that we were to rent used to be residential. Although the place wasn't furnished, it was just awesome. There was a small square koi pond in the middle of the ground floor. The was a fully functional kitchen. Amazing bathrooms. Bathrooms and not toilets 'cause there are bathtubs in almost every bathrooms. Can't imagine turning this nice lovely residential place into an office space. A few of us feedbacked that we felt that like it's not suitable to turn into an office but also felt that the place was absolutely great. Too nice to turn it into an office. If we move in to that space, I will try to post some pictures of it in here. You'll be shocked at how nice the place is.

The GM and The Boss was quite interested in getting the place. The place was within budget and it could accommodate the whole of us in there. So most probably we would move in there. We'll see. We have to move indefinitely as the rental contract for the main office will end in June and the landlord refused to renew the contract.

Hmm, maybe someday I could afford some place like that. Hah! Dream on.

. . Touch . .

Same day today, long tiring day. Finally got to start on the new render that was dued today. Spent the whole full day doing it. Not helping was the fact that there was a blackout again after lunch. This time it wasn't raining lightning and thunder, but I think was that one of our computer's Power Supply Unit went kaput!

'Cause after I turned the main switch on, only the the Server 2 computer couldn't be switched on. We made a call to our technical guy who maintains everything about computers and its peripherals. He came by around half an hour later but only fixed the unit by 4.45 pm. Most of us couldn't really work because our image library is in Server 2. Myself couldn't do much work but did manage to searched for images on the web. Least I didn't sit around and do nothing.

"Finished" my work around 7.15 pm and slowly set off. It was raining so I decided to wait out the rain. Was thinking of switching back on my computers and continuing on my work. But the rain stopped soon after and I went on my way. Made a stop at IMM to get something.

I had been eye-ing on this "something" for a while now. Been considering it. At last, I stopped considering and decided to just go get it. I just got myself a new handphone. It's the HTC Touch Dual. Been considering if it's a good idea to get a touch screen phone. Was a bit worried that this function might get easily spoilt. But I can't resist having a good PDA phone. It's definitely an upgrade to my old phone. Was considering to get some other Nokia N series phone which all my siblings are using right now.

My elder brother is using the N95. My younger sis is using the N80 and my younger brother is using the N81. I'm the odd one I guess. Had been using a Nokia phone ever since my 1st handphone and this is the first time I am using a phone other than Nokia. Hopefully this phone live up to it's great expectations and it's high reviews.

Going back to work tomorrow. Need to go early and maybe come home late. Least I could claim off day and don't have to return on Sunday. Hopefully.

Think the other guys are coming back tomorrow too.

. . Long Day . .

Another long day today. Not going into details. Almost the same thing everyday. Thought I could start on a new render in the afternoon. But after so much amendments on so many different projects; including the ones I'm covering Frecky for. She's on holiday in Los Angeles accompanying her elder sis. Her brother-in-law was sent there for a work trip.

Anyway, I only started the fresh render around 9.30 pm. Couldn't do much. Was so tired and couldn't concentrate. Decided to go off. Left the office around 10.15 pm. I still have a few more new renders that I need to start on but not able to. I foresee that I have to get back to the office during the weekend.

Maybe Sunday too.

Haiz.

. . Grip & Rattle . .

Fat hope. Was wishing for a relaxed Friday but its was another long day at work. I'm beginning to get bored of my own ranting about my own work! Hah! Anyway, managed to finished up quite a lot of deadlines today. All thanks to the cooperation of the team. Still, next week workload is going to be quite heavy and I'm expecting quite a long work week!

Managed to "finished" up my work around 8.00 pm. Only The GM and Tee was still in the office. Tee stayed back late to receive a new render and I will have to work on it tomorrow. Hopefully, I can finish around 75% by end of tomorrow. I headed down to Jurong Point after work.

Went there to find something for The GM's newborn son. He'll be having a baby shower tomorrow and I wanted to get something for his son. After a few go-throughs of the baby toys at the Toys 'R' Us, I decided to get this cute blue/green "Grip & Rattle". Basically, it look like a dumbell *without the weight*, thus the name "grip". And it has a bell and whistle inside this "grip" so when shaked, it will rattle and whistle. Hah. It has a funny *supposedly* giraffe head on one end of the grip and then a ball-like end that stick out of the other end. Hahahah!! And when this round ball-end is squeezed, it squeaks! HAHAHAHA!! Anyway, I think it's a nice toy. Hope the baby will like it. Heh.

I'm so tired. I need a week-long break.

. . Forget . .

Oh shoot! I forgot to blog the night before. Well, I was out very late. Went for dinner after work and got home very, very late. Yeah, I know it was a work night, but one thing lead to another and I stayed out late. Hehe.

TODAY! Felt very tired most of the day. Lots of projects to rush a Friday Deadline and had alot of last minute amendments that needed to be rushed on the same day. Haiz. What luck. PP is confirmed not coming to office 'til next week so still had to help Ah Hoon with the workload. So much workload that I "finished" my work around 10.00 pm tonight. Was damn tired but also pleased that I managed to finished up most that I needed to. So that tomorrow I have less to do. *Fingers crossed*. That's just me. I don't want to have a last minute rush. The quality of work will drop if I rush things through.

Nothing much happened today. *edited*. Frecky's going to leave the company by end of the month and she and San are going to enrol into NAFA. Or is it LaSalle? Hmm. I always mixed up these 2 art schools.

Got home around 12. Hopefully, not much work on Friday.

. . My Bad . .

Thought of coming early to work today but I woke up late so I reached the office around the usual time. Nothing much today at work. The usual boring monotonous stuffs.

Mei msn-ed me saying that I was extra nice to Ming when I spoke to her. Hah! Ming was a bit pissed-off during a meeting in the morning 'cause the rest "arrowed" her to speak first regarding something that they had been discussing. After that, it was Ming who was became more vocal in the discussion with The Boss and The GM. She was pissed that the others did not speak up. Anyway, I wasn't being extra nice. I guess I was in a good mood today or something. Why not? Nobody pissed me off that day, so why shouldn't I be in a good mood, right? Anyway, Mei said, she wants to be pissed-off the next time *hoping I'll be extra nice to her?!* Hah. I must had been giving them the bad-mood-attitude all this while. My bad.

I left the office around 7.30 pm. Have a few stuffs to do actually but the deadline is on Wednesday. I figured I can rush it through tomorrow. After work, I went down to Kinokuniya with Frecky. I was looking for a birthday present for a close colleague Teo Jie-jie. She had bought me a birthday present *a recipe book* before and I wanted to buy her something. But the thing is, I didn't really know what to get her. I asked my good buddy EC *who is working closely with her in her department* what she may like to get. He told me she like classic movies. Those "Gone with the Wind" kind-of movie. Kinokuniya didn't have those so we head to Borders.

Borders have a few classic movies and some. They even have some boxed sets that really cost a lot. Saw that a boxed "Die Hard'" series costing around $60 each. Wow. Also saw some classic movies like, "Dancing In The Rain", *plus some others which I forgotten the titles*. I'm not a fan of classic movies, so I didn't really know which is good for her. Also the thought that she might already have these in her collection came to mind. Nevermind, I think I'll "ask" her what she wants. We'll see.

Left Borders around 10.00 pm. Got to work tomorrow so can't stay out too late. Send Frecky home before I head home.

Going to be a long day tomorrow.
