. . Fined . .

Woke up too early today at 6.45 am. Planned to make my way to the bank once it opens at 8.30 am but decided against it after a while. The POSBank at Suntec City mall have an extended opening hours til 7.00 pm. I was thinking I'll rush there after the course ends for the day.

Got to the location *Singapore Conference Hall* around 8.40 am but was shocked that they didn't have motorcycle parking lot there. Where the hell shall I park my bike at then? After a few rounds of searching around. I gave up and park my bike at Telok Ayer Food Centre. *At Amoy Street* Was around 5 - 7 minutes walk back to the location.

The course was not bad. The speaker was quite good. Did had a lot of fun during the whole course. It was more of a discussion kind-of thingy. Not a classroom kind-of course. Had a lot of moving around. Thought it would be boring and could sleep in. But I couldn't. I came in after a few of my colleagues had arrived and they all choosed the back seats. So I had to seat up front.

It was quite the normal kind-of course usually meant for Human Resources personnel. But the subjects taught; about better communications between people, was good for all of us. The course ended around 5.00 pm. A whole hour than scheduled. I couldn't complain. I don't have to rush down to the bank anymore.

Went back to my bike and was shocked to see that my bike had been fined! The guy/gal that fined me must either be stupid or blind or both. My bike parking coupon was just there hanging near the right side mirror in plain sight. Yeah, it was just an $8.00 fine but that's not the point. The point is that I did put a valid parking coupon but still fined. Going to rectify with them soon. Idiots. Make me do extra work just because they did a stupid mistake.

Reached Suntec City mall around 5.45 pm and did my banking. After that I walked around the mall just wasting time before I met up with my family and relatives for dinner.

Reached Bestari Restaurant at Bukit Batok a 'lil after 8.00 pm. Was a good dinner. The seafood spread was really good and I ate a good large portion. *Now feeling quite full*

Not going to blog in about what's going to happen tomorrow. And maybe for Monday *I'll be on leave from work on that day. Yippie!* 'Cause it's kind-of personal.

Got to sleep now. Tomorrow will be another long day.

. . Bonia . .

Didn't blogged in yesterday. Was too darn tired after coming home late. As usual, the mad rush of visuals. *Hey it rhymes!* By 10.00 pm, I managed to complete the ones that I planned to complete for the day, so that Friday won't be so bogged down to a bottleneck of deadlines. Left work around 10.15 pm.

Friday! D-Day for a few projects deadline. I managed my time wisely and also was quite lucky today that there wasn't any last minute amendments & comments from other projects. Actually, there were some. But not deadlined for today. Phew! Managed to "finished" my work by 7.15 pm. Not quite what I had targetted for. I targetted to "finish" everything by 6.00 pm. Hah. Was thinking of running away before anymore amendments could come back to me. But that will be very selfish of me. *What was I thinking?* Even after I "finished" all my work, Kan and Ken haven't finished theirs and stayed back a 'lil while longer. I had to go. Had to do some shopping.

Quickly head to Takashimaya Shopping Centre to look out for a lady's wallet. I had intended to buy one for my aunt for her birthday. If you've read my past entries, you'd read up on where my family and some relatives would go out for dinner to celebrate someone's birthday. Well, we're going for a dinner tomorrow and I want to get her something. She and my uncle bought me something good on my last birthday *the Ralph Lauren Polo Explorer Perfume* and if I didn't get her anything, I'll feel really really bad. Anyway, I got her a simple palm-sized Bonia wallet. I decided to get a similar one for my mom as I didn't get her anything for her birthday last month.

Not that I didn't want to. My younger sis asked if I wanted to share in getting her a new watch, which was what my mom wanted, so I agreed. But later I found out that the watch was quite cheap and that I should had gotten her something else too. So I thought since I was in the Ladies Department, might as well get her something. After the long-awkward-perspiring-browsing of the wallets there, in the end bought 2 same Bonia wallets with a 'lil different colour for them. *Please do comment if you think this was a bad idea of getting something similar for 2 sisters; my mom and my aunt.* I just thought that it'll be nice for the 2 sisters to have something similar.

After I've made the purchase, I made my way to Video EZY. Last 2 nights ago, after checking my bank statement, I'd realised that I paid twice for the purchase of my 2 DVDs that I bought last weekend. It was like this. After the first time I NETS the payment, the cashier realised that the machine's receipt-paper was out. So the receipt wasn't printed. After she inserted a new roll of receipt-paper, she asked me to key in the NETS payment again! ME, being blur, obligingly keyed in my numbers. How was I supposed to know that the first payment was cleared. It's just that the receipt wasn't printed out.

So today I went up to the cashier, *the same lady that served me before* and told her about the double payment. She remembered me. She didn't look shocked nor surprised. Hmm, think she realised about it too. Anyway, I was promptly attended to and refunded the extra payment without any fuss. Just the way I like it.

After that I walked around Best Denki to see if I need anything else. Still have some more cash vouchers in my hand and after 1st April, it can't be use at this Best Denki. Thought of getting a new game for my younger brother as his birthday is next month, but decided against it. There wasn't much choices for a PSP nor Nintendo DS games.

As I head home, I made a quick detour back to the office to get my Adidas jacket, that I might need to use during a course tomorrow. I'll be attending a "Communication and Relation Management" course *or something like that* from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. *Yikes!*

Thought of sleeping early tonight.

Nah, I'll just sleep in during the course. ☻

. . No Choice . .

Still rushing through the visuals today. Did a lot of amendments and started on a simple interior that I rushed through in just a few hours. No choice, got to rush and do it simple. As long as its of good quality. Managed to passed 3 visuals to Ah Hoon's team as I don't think my can finished it by the stated deadline.

Anyway, got home around 9.45 pm and slacked in front of the TV.

The cycle starts again tomorrow.

. . If I'm a Robot . .

Another Monday. I'm too tired to talk about work anymore. Its the same thing anyway. Not much happened today. Managed to rushed through a simple new render and finished it by end of the day. One of the In-charge came to me in the late morning and present me with 5 new fresh renders that he needed completed by this Wednesday/Thursday. HAHA!!

I nearly laugh&cry at the same time. But I kept my cool. Told him I could "try" to finish up 3 visuals by Friday. Hah! I really don't care about them anymore. Will always going to try to delay the deadline. Nowadays if someone pass me last minute urgent project, I would just say, "Cannot. Next week then I'll give you." Don't give a fcuk anymore. It's really mentally tiring to sit through doing the projects. Imagine this. 1 visual usually need around 1 day of work on it *for a good quality work*. So if you give me 12 visuals *on top of other's projects & amendments* to be completed in a week, * you think I would really want to work on a weekend if I have a choice?* do you think it's possible?

Well yeah, it's possible. If I'm a robot who doesn't have a life, don't eat, don't shit, don't sleep. Then yeah, it's possible. Hehe. Change subject; We had cake-cutting this evening. Altogether, around 9 staffs were born in the month of March. Frecky included. Her birthday is in the next 2 days. I think today we had enough cake to go around. 1 of the cake is quite huge but is durian flavoured, so lots of us choose the chocolate cake. Hah!

Another Photoshop workshop after work today. Nothing much. Me, Ah San and PP had to share with the rest of the team about what we had learnt from our Photoshop Workshop a couple of weeks back.

Tomorrow is Frecky's last day in The Company. I'm going to miss her at work. :-(

. . Thrifty . .

Didnt blog in yesterday. Got home late again. But not 'cause of work though. Work was alright. Didn't really have to rush much stuffs as most of the visuals deadlined on Thursday are done. It's just the one deadlined for Monday are going to be rushed. Not going to stay back late that Thursday. Can rush those work on Saturday.

After work last Thursday went to have dinner at Swensen's at Bugis with Frecky. We'd booked movie tickets at Bugis to catch "Be Kind, Rewind". Was a great show. Jack Black and Mos Def are great! So is Danny Glover! The storyline is not that strong but it's very creative. And their theme of remaking the movies that were accidentally erased was really funny to watch. Very funny and its not those slapstick funny. I sure had lots of laughing-out-loud moments. Very much recommended to watch it.

Friday was a public holiday. As last time, I decided to perform my Friday Prayers at Omar Kampong Melaka Mosque. I think I would only go here everytime when Friday is a public holiday. Not much people to crowd around. There I met ArifR, my ex-colleague from The Company. It's been a long time since I met him. He now work as an architect for a company somewhere around Bugis. He was with his 2 kids. I can still remember the time when he announced the born of his second child years back and now the sweet 'lil girl is all grown up. She should be around 2 years old now.

After I bade goodbye, I made my way to office. I decided to park my bike somewhere at a nearby HDB parking lot somewhere around 5 minutes walk away. It's a public holiday and HDB parking lot should be free. If I park at my usual spot, I still have to place a parking coupon. Although it's only 65 cents per parking coupon, it's still a save. And I don't see it as a saving of 65 cents, I see it as a saving of 1 day parking. And the parking lot that I parked my bike at is covered. Keep my bike from being rained on. Hmm, maybe I should park my bike here from now onwards. But one con is that the motorcycle parking lot is very small. And some is so squeezed small that I don't think I can park my bike in that area. The person that planned this out is either basically some sort of idiot or someone who purposedly design it small thinking that it can save space. But seriously, it's too small.

Left the office around 6.30 pm and went straight home. Thought of going to Takashimaya Shopping centre to get some stuffs but decided to go tomorrow instead. 'Cause if I were to go today then I'll be wasting one parking coupon for a few hours of parking at Wheelock *There's no free parking there even on public holiday*. Do I sound like a stingy person? I think I'm thrifty. I'll be going back to the office again tomorrow and will have to use a coupon. Might as well go shopping after work then. Save me a day's worth of parking.

Reached home around 7.15 pm. Had my dinner and slacked on the sofa. Before I know it, I woke up on the sofa around 1.15 am the next morning. Hah! I must have been very tired and sleepy. Slept on the sofa for around a good 4 and a half hours.

Now I'm wide awake.

. . Nothing much. .

Nothing much to blog today. Wasn't in a good mode most of the day at work. Not so much of a rush but still had a lot to do. All 'cause the deadlines are tomorrow. Hopefully, can "finish" by end of the day. Planned to catch "Be Kind, Rewind" starring Jack Black, tomorrow evening with Frecky. Hopefully the weather would turn out for the best.

Got to sleep early tonight.

. . Tepanyaki Chicken . .

Work sucks. Burnout. That's what I typed on my MSN message. Been busy these past few days and will be very busy the next few days. Think, will be busy the next few weeks. I can see that a lot of my colleagues are feeling the pressure of having to face too many projects at one time. Same for me. Not only the new projects keep coming, the amendments for the recent ones kept coming back fast. Haven't really finish the one at hand, new ones pile up. I'm not complaining about too many projects. It's good to have on-going projects. But these projects keep having the same tight deadlines. Some are deadlined on the same day. There's too many to handle with on the limited manpower that we have.

Haiz. Enough of work. Frecky came back to work today after her week-long holiday. She actually came back to Singapore on Sunday night but went to LaSalle *or is it NAFA?* on Monday. So she's back here in the office on Tuesday. Bought us all a cute Mickey stirrer each from her trip to Disneyland *cool*.

After work I went out to dinner with a friend. We went to RamenTen at Far East Plaza. The food there is quite good. I ordered Tepanyaki Chicken with dry Ramen and she ordered Mushroom Ramen. Both dishes are not bad and highly recommended. I order a side dish of deep fried squid. POWER SOTONG! Very nice. I literally cleaned up my plate and the plate of sotong. 'Cept for the vegetables, of course. I'll get rashes if I eat vegetables. *HAHA*.

Got back after sending my friend home. Was thinking of stuffs to fill up my new PDA phone with when I realised that I have a free Singapore Map software that came with the map directory that I bought 2 months back. Was very excited when I successfully installed the software. But one of the cons is that the resolution of the map are not that good. Zooming in and out will blur the wordings and distort it respectively. Not much help if you need fast reference. But still good to have if there are no other options.

Going to find some other free softwares to install on my PDA phone. Especially games.

So exciting! ☻

. . Spottiswoode . .

I missed out blogging yesterday. Was busy fiddling around with my new handphone last night. Installing new programmes and getting to know how to use the phone. Not that I don't know how to use the phone. Just wanted to know more in-depth about the functions of the phone.

Went to work on Sunday. The usual. Clocked in 6 hours from 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm. After 6.00 pm, I headed down to Challenger Funan, to get the screen protector and also a 2 GB microSD. The one that came with the phone is only 1 GB. Yeah, I know it doesn't makes much difference but having that extra storage means I can install more programmes and also keep in more photos and videos. More fun! Got home straight after that and meddled with the phone.

Today was an alright day. Not so rush because I managed to rush the urgent ones by Sunday. Today just did a lot of amendments. After lunch I was told to come along to check out the possible office space that we might move in to.

It wasn't far from our office but it's just out of the CBD area. *Our offices are just around the edge of CBD* Took around 10 mins walk to Spottiswoode Park. Its quite a residential area but it's all shophouses. I seldom see people live in shophouses.

The place that we went to is just astonishing. Its so posh and luxurious. The 3 storey shophouse that we were to rent used to be residential. Although the place wasn't furnished, it was just awesome. There was a small square koi pond in the middle of the ground floor. The was a fully functional kitchen. Amazing bathrooms. Bathrooms and not toilets 'cause there are bathtubs in almost every bathrooms. Can't imagine turning this nice lovely residential place into an office space. A few of us feedbacked that we felt that like it's not suitable to turn into an office but also felt that the place was absolutely great. Too nice to turn it into an office. If we move in to that space, I will try to post some pictures of it in here. You'll be shocked at how nice the place is.

The GM and The Boss was quite interested in getting the place. The place was within budget and it could accommodate the whole of us in there. So most probably we would move in there. We'll see. We have to move indefinitely as the rental contract for the main office will end in June and the landlord refused to renew the contract.

Hmm, maybe someday I could afford some place like that. Hah! Dream on.

. . Touch . .

Same day today, long tiring day. Finally got to start on the new render that was dued today. Spent the whole full day doing it. Not helping was the fact that there was a blackout again after lunch. This time it wasn't raining lightning and thunder, but I think was that one of our computer's Power Supply Unit went kaput!

'Cause after I turned the main switch on, only the the Server 2 computer couldn't be switched on. We made a call to our technical guy who maintains everything about computers and its peripherals. He came by around half an hour later but only fixed the unit by 4.45 pm. Most of us couldn't really work because our image library is in Server 2. Myself couldn't do much work but did manage to searched for images on the web. Least I didn't sit around and do nothing.

"Finished" my work around 7.15 pm and slowly set off. It was raining so I decided to wait out the rain. Was thinking of switching back on my computers and continuing on my work. But the rain stopped soon after and I went on my way. Made a stop at IMM to get something.

I had been eye-ing on this "something" for a while now. Been considering it. At last, I stopped considering and decided to just go get it. I just got myself a new handphone. It's the HTC Touch Dual. Been considering if it's a good idea to get a touch screen phone. Was a bit worried that this function might get easily spoilt. But I can't resist having a good PDA phone. It's definitely an upgrade to my old phone. Was considering to get some other Nokia N series phone which all my siblings are using right now.

My elder brother is using the N95. My younger sis is using the N80 and my younger brother is using the N81. I'm the odd one I guess. Had been using a Nokia phone ever since my 1st handphone and this is the first time I am using a phone other than Nokia. Hopefully this phone live up to it's great expectations and it's high reviews.

Going back to work tomorrow. Need to go early and maybe come home late. Least I could claim off day and don't have to return on Sunday. Hopefully.

Think the other guys are coming back tomorrow too.

March 14, 2008

. . Long Day . .

Another long day today. Not going into details. Almost the same thing everyday. Thought I could start on a new render in the afternoon. But after so much amendments on so many different projects; including the ones I'm covering Frecky for. She's on holiday in Los Angeles accompanying her elder sis. Her brother-in-law was sent there for a work trip.

Anyway, I only started the fresh render around 9.30 pm. Couldn't do much. Was so tired and couldn't concentrate. Decided to go off. Left the office around 10.15 pm. I still have a few more new renders that I need to start on but not able to. I foresee that I have to get back to the office during the weekend.

Maybe Sunday too.

Haiz.

. . Grip & Rattle . .

Fat hope. Was wishing for a relaxed Friday but its was another long day at work. I'm beginning to get bored of my own ranting about my own work! Hah! Anyway, managed to finished up quite a lot of deadlines today. All thanks to the cooperation of the team. Still, next week workload is going to be quite heavy and I'm expecting quite a long work week!

Managed to "finished" up my work around 8.00 pm. Only The GM and Tee was still in the office. Tee stayed back late to receive a new render and I will have to work on it tomorrow. Hopefully, I can finish around 75% by end of tomorrow. I headed down to Jurong Point after work.

Went there to find something for The GM's newborn son. He'll be having a baby shower tomorrow and I wanted to get something for his son. After a few go-throughs of the baby toys at the Toys 'R' Us, I decided to get this cute blue/green "Grip & Rattle". Basically, it look like a dumbell *without the weight*, thus the name "grip". And it has a bell and whistle inside this "grip" so when shaked, it will rattle and whistle. Hah. It has a funny *supposedly* giraffe head on one end of the grip and then a ball-like end that stick out of the other end. Hahahah!! And when this round ball-end is squeezed, it squeaks! HAHAHAHA!! Anyway, I think it's a nice toy. Hope the baby will like it. Heh.

I'm so tired. I need a week-long break.

March 7, 2008

. . Forget . .

Oh shoot! I forgot to blog the night before. Well, I was out very late. Went for dinner after work and got home very, very late. Yeah, I know it was a work night, but one thing lead to another and I stayed out late. Hehe.

TODAY! Felt very tired most of the day. Lots of projects to rush a Friday Deadline and had alot of last minute amendments that needed to be rushed on the same day. Haiz. What luck. PP is confirmed not coming to office 'til next week so still had to help Ah Hoon with the workload. So much workload that I "finished" my work around 10.00 pm tonight. Was damn tired but also pleased that I managed to finished up most that I needed to. So that tomorrow I have less to do. *Fingers crossed*. That's just me. I don't want to have a last minute rush. The quality of work will drop if I rush things through.

Nothing much happened today. *edited*. Frecky's going to leave the company by end of the month and she and San are going to enrol into NAFA. Or is it LaSalle? Hmm. I always mixed up these 2 art schools.

Got home around 12. Hopefully, not much work on Friday.

March 4, 2008

. . My Bad . .

Thought of coming early to work today but I woke up late so I reached the office around the usual time. Nothing much today at work. The usual boring monotonous stuffs.

Mei msn-ed me saying that I was extra nice to Ming when I spoke to her. Hah! Ming was a bit pissed-off during a meeting in the morning 'cause the rest "arrowed" her to speak first regarding something that they had been discussing. After that, it was Ming who was became more vocal in the discussion with The Boss and The GM. She was pissed that the others did not speak up. Anyway, I wasn't being extra nice. I guess I was in a good mood today or something. Why not? Nobody pissed me off that day, so why shouldn't I be in a good mood, right? Anyway, Mei said, she wants to be pissed-off the next time *hoping I'll be extra nice to her?!* Hah. I must had been giving them the bad-mood-attitude all this while. My bad.

I left the office around 7.30 pm. Have a few stuffs to do actually but the deadline is on Wednesday. I figured I can rush it through tomorrow. After work, I went down to Kinokuniya with Frecky. I was looking for a birthday present for a close colleague Teo Jie-jie. She had bought me a birthday present *a recipe book* before and I wanted to buy her something. But the thing is, I didn't really know what to get her. I asked my good buddy EC *who is working closely with her in her department* what she may like to get. He told me she like classic movies. Those "Gone with the Wind" kind-of movie. Kinokuniya didn't have those so we head to Borders.

Borders have a few classic movies and some. They even have some boxed sets that really cost a lot. Saw that a boxed "Die Hard'" series costing around $60 each. Wow. Also saw some classic movies like, "Dancing In The Rain", *plus some others which I forgotten the titles*. I'm not a fan of classic movies, so I didn't really know which is good for her. Also the thought that she might already have these in her collection came to mind. Nevermind, I think I'll "ask" her what she wants. We'll see.

Left Borders around 10.00 pm. Got to work tomorrow so can't stay out too late. Send Frecky home before I head home.

Going to be a long day tomorrow.
